The inaugural meeting of the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) Former Local Government Chairmen Forum was held on Monday at Lylius Hotel, Asa Dam Road, Ilorin, marking a significant step toward strengthening political collaboration among grassroots leaders in the state.

The well-attended gathering brought together a broad spectrum of former local government chairmen across Kwara State, reflecting strong interest in the forum’s objectives and future engagements.

The meeting was moderated by Alhaji Olaiya Bello, a former chairman of Ekiti Local Government, who guided deliberations with notable experience and insight. Prominent attendees included Alhaji Abdulwahab Isa, Barrister Hassan K. Garuba, Dr. B.A. Salami, and Comrade Yinka Dallas, among others.

Proceedings commenced with an opening prayer delivered by Hon. Tunde Fadipe, former Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) chairman of Isin Local Government, setting a reflective tone for the discussions. The session concluded with a closing prayer by Hon. Jimoh Adebayo, a former chairman from Moro Local Government.
