*Kwara PDP SWC Pays Last Respect at Fidau Prayer of Late Alhaji Raji Ibrahim Babatunde Alamala*
Members of the Hon. Isa Adamu Bawa led State Working Committee (SWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State attended the Fidau prayer for the late Alhaji Raji Ibrahim Babatunde Alamala in Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The State Working Committee’s delegation which included State Secretary, Engr. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode; Kwara North Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Ndako Uthman Mohammed; Kwara Central Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Isiak Babatunde Owolabi; and the State Auditor, Hon. Imam Musa Bashir, was received by Moro Local Government PDP Executives, Moro PDP critical stakeholders, hundreds of PDP members and community leaders.
The Fidau Prayer’s attendance was part of the party’s effort to commiserate with the family, friends, and political associates of the late party stalwart.
The party had earlier mourned the passing of Alhaji Alamala on Tuesday 28th July, 2026, in a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara.
In the statement, the PDP described the deceased as a committed party man and a stabilizing force within the party.
“We have lost not only a committed party man but also a voice of wisdom, experience, and unity whose contributions to the growth of our party and his community will never be forgotten,” the statement read.
The party noted that his death represents a huge loss to the PDP, particularly in Moro Local Government, and to the people of Bode Saadu where he was held in high esteem as a community leader.
The PDP further eulogized Alhaji Alamala as an intellectual and elder statesman whose counsel shaped party decisions in the area.
“Alhaji Alamala was an intellectual whose counsel was always sought and valued. He remained steadfast in his commitment to the ideals of the PDP and played a significant role in building and sustaining the party’s structure in Moro Local Government. His death has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill within our party and the community he served so selflessly,” the party stated.
“Beyond politics, Alhaji Alamala was a devoted Muslim, a responsible father, and a compassionate community leader. He lived a life of service, integrity, and humility, touching many lives through his wisdom, generosity, and commitment to the progress of his people.”
“We prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Amin. We also prayed that Allah would grant his family, loved ones, and everyone affected by this painful loss the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss.”
The Fidau prayer was attended by party leaders, family members, Islamic clerics, and residents of Bode Saadu and neighboring communities.
