Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has restated his administration’s deep respect and support for religious leaders, describing them as pillars of peace, guidance, and moral strength in society.

The governor made this known on Friday during the commissioning of the newly built Ajison Jumma’at Mosque at Gaa-Odota, Ilorin — a landmark edifice founded by Sheikh Abdullahi Olohunkemi Arademi, a revered Islamic scholar and community leader.

Represented by Alhaji Razaq Lawal, a former Commissioner for Special Duties, Governor AbdulRazaq praised the vital role of clerics in nurturing spiritual growth, promoting peace, and shaping the moral values of the younger generation

“Our religious leaders play an indispensable role in sustaining peace and guiding our people toward piety and responsible living. Their prayers, counsel, and moral teachings help keep our communities united and progressive,” the governor said.

He described Sheikh Arademi as a worthy ambassador of Islam who has continued to uplift the faith through decades of service, culminating in the establishment of the ultra-modern mosque that will serve as a hub for worship, learning, and community development.

Governor AbdulRazaq prayed that Almighty Allah will reward the cleric abundantly for his good deeds and enduring contributions to humanity.

In his sermon, Sheikh Abdullahi Olohunkemi Arademi commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his humility, accessibility, and commitment to the welfare of Kwarans, urging citizens to continue supporting the governor’s administration.

“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is a God-sent, visionary leader who listens to the people and responds to their needs. With sustained prayers and cooperation, Kwara will continue to flourish under his watch,” Sheikh Arademi said.

The cleric also prayed for peace and security across Nigeria, expressing optimism that the collaborative efforts of Governor AbdulRazaq, security agencies, and community stakeholders will help overcome current national challenges.
