The birthday of Alhaji Lamidi Akanbi, popularly known as Arch. Lamak, was on Saturday marked with glowing tributes, as community leaders, political associates, and admirers across Kwara State celebrated his life of service, loyalty, and enterprise.
Among those who paid heartfelt tribute was Comrade Olufemi A. Adetola, Ph.D. (Dr. FAA), the Aare Akinrogun of Obbo-Ile Kingdom and Convener of One Kwara Agenda, who described Arch. Lamak as “a steadfast brother, business associate, and long-time political ally whose influence continues to shape the progressive landscape of Kwara.”
Arch. Lamak, a proud son of Ogbondoroko in Asa Local Government Area, is widely respected as a businessman, political strategist, and grassroots mobilizer. His record of public service includes his tenure as Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs and later Senior Special Assistant on Transport under former Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, roles in which he was lauded for his accessibility and impact.
In his tribute, Dr. FAA praised the celebrant’s enduring loyalty to the current administration. “Arch. Lamak has remained a trusted and committed loyalist of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON. His consistency, influence, and tireless contributions to the progressive cause are remarkable and worthy of emulation,” he said.
